The 08097160 Series SPST Bi-Stable Current Isolating Remote Control Electrical Battery Disconnect Switch is protected against dust and water jets to IP65 standards, making it suitable for commercial applications, such as heavy trucks, buses, marine vehicles, construction equipment, and more.

While traditional current isolating switches require a minimum current when they are turned on, models with "mechanical ON-OFF position," such as the 08097160 Series battery disconnect, absorb current only during the commuting phase or when switched from (OFF) to (ON) and vice versa. Generally referred to as "bi-stable with zero consumption," their switches turn to closed or open state of the electric circuit.

This model of the 08097160 Series remote battery disconnect switch (08097260) features a 250A continuous current rating, a 32V maximum voltage rating, and a 24V coil. This configuration includes a protective cover.
